Durham County Veteran Ladies' Golf Association

Our Bronze team played their first match of the season at Morpeth on 4thJuly under the watchful eye of Jennifer Dixon our Vice-Captain.  Our team turned out on a sunny day and played four ball better ball against the Northumberland Bronze team.  These matches have now been running for 27 years and during that time Durham have won 15 times and Northumberland 12 times.

I’m happy to report that Durham won the match 4 games to 2 and returned home victorious with the trophy! Four players were awarded their Vets County badges for playing in the team. They were Val Facchini, Heather Millburn, Val Neal and Carole Zissler.  Well done ladies and I hope you continue to represent the County for many years.

The Bronze matches are always such fun and the players seem to really enjoy the day.  Well done everyone, I’m delighted that you had such “A good day at the office!”  PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SEE YOUR LOVELY PHOTOGRAPHS.
